The Inbetweeners' Birthday Fun

The room is spinning. Delightfully disorienting, dizzying feelings of too-much-sugar and the bubbly joy of imaginary creatures surround you in this exhibit. Your eyes are drowning in the contrast of sticky bright colors and soft pastels. Your breath tastes too sweet. Where are you? How old are you? Five or twenty-two? Maybe ninety-three? Have you ever wanted to scoop out the inside of your mind and invite others to try its flavor like a new cotton candy ice cream? How we feel about getting older changes every year, but the celebrations should always remain at their most vibrant. To celebrate with you in this world, I decided to bring “Glubs” to life. Existing beyond the stressful world we live in, these colorful creatures with flowers sprouting from the top of their heads are the inhabitants of this soft creative space. Glubs invoke an old childhood friend to hug, a connection to your inner mischievous child, an oddly shaped secretary sorting through your memories and thoughts, or whatever else you dream them to be.  If you’re any age In-Between child and adult, explore and have a spark of creative chaos reignited. Imagine stuffing your face full of sweets and scribbling on the walls with crayon. Remember that discovering and holding on to what makes you joyful is important.
